Who’s the data controller

Newsletter

When you sign up, I collect just your email, with your consent — nothing else. You confirm the sign-up by clicking a link in the email you get afterwards; without that, the subscription doesn’t go through. The email is processed by MailerLite, and I keep it until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe anytime via the link at the bottom of every email I send.

Site traffic

I measure page views with GoatCounter — no cookies, just aggregate, anonymous counts. I do this on the basis of a legitimate interest in having at least some idea whether anyone’s actually reading what I write. You can turn off tracking for your browser anytime via the link in the site’s footer.

Embedded videos

Some posts, and the Music page, have embedded YouTube videos (via youtube-nocookie.com, i.e. privacy-enhanced mode). Google may learn that you’ve visited the page because of this.

Hosting

The site runs on GitHub Pages, so standard technical logs (like your IP address) are processed by GitHub.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Just email kontakt@vendulasubert.cz. If you feel your data is being mishandled, you can file a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů).
